This indicates that some part of the toilet bowl mechanism is spoilt or malfunctioned and needs to be repair or replaced .Leaving the toilet running would mean waste of water and money. You can off the main water supply first before we assist you with the problem.
A sudden change in water pressure can be the result of many problems. It is often related to the water line or shutoff valve. You may need to check your incoming lines and the valve to make sure there is no damage and the valve is open all the way. This problem is common in houses or estates that are old.
This is common and simple problem. The faulty internal parts like the washers and the valves cause the taps to drip. Therefore, it needs to be repair or replaced. Easy and inexpensive but can save a lot of water and money. You can DIY this with parts gotten from hardware store. Helpful tip would be to turn on/off your taps gently to extend its lifespan. Check your pipe regularly. If you see deposits such as lime or rust, or pipe turning yellowish and mouldy could be a sign. This may indicate that it’s starting to leak soon. If so, you may want to contact a licensed plumber already. By checking regularly, you can prevent a small problem before it turns major.
